THERMIva Non-Invasive Vaginal Rejuvenation in Beverly Hills: What You Need to Know
All areas of the body age, including the vulva and vagina, experience age related changes. These can include atrophy (or shrinking volume) of the vulva (outer labia), loss of vaginal tightness or tone, vaginal dryness, and lack of moisture.
We are excited to offer ThermiVa, a nonsurgical way to rejuvenate the vaginal area, from the inside and out! ThermiVa is a non-surgical way to accomplish inner vaginal tightening and outer vulva (or labia majora) tightening. Even better is that it helps with stress incontinence, or urgency and leaking, as well as vaginal moisture. Patients have been really excited about these results! Before patients had to rely on surgery or hormones to accomplish such changes and results.
Treatment Overview
ThermiVa harnesses radiofrequency energy to stimulate the production of collagen, and improve blood flow to the area. Results include tightening and firming of the vulva (external) and vagina (internal), as well as improved moisture and decreased stress incontinence. Dr. Patel’s patients also describe improvements in arousal and sensation. The internal tightening addresses laxity at both the vaginal opening and throughout its length.
ThermiVa is a treatment that requires no numbing medicine or injections, and simply feels like a warm sensation on the vulva if treating outer labia laxity. If treating the vaginal canal itself, it is even more comfortable. Following treatment there is no downtime, and you can resume your normal activities.
At the end of a single treatment one can notice the results, and 3 treatments are recommended for optimal results, spaced about 4 weeks apart. Full effects will be seen in 3-6 months.

Why is THERMIva Right for You?
What is THERMIva?
An Option for Vaginal Restoration
Common complaints as women age include losing volume and tone along the outer labia, resulting in shrunken and loose appearance; looseness of the vagina or loss of “gripping” sensation during intercourse; vaginal dryness or pain during intercourse from lack of lubrication; less sensitive arousal. ThermiVa is a way to restore volume and tone to the labia or vulva, tighten the vagina, improve blood flow and moisture, and even decrease stress incontinence. As a result of the improved blood flow and moisture, and tightening, patients often report greater sexual satisfaction as well. The overall results can be described as rejuvenation as well as restoration.
Why Choose THERMIva?
Mastering the Delivery of Controlled-Heating in Intimate Areas
ThermiVa is a nonablative radiofrequency treatment, and as such it does not damage the surface or cause sloughing of delicate tissue, or require any downtime at all. Instead, the radiofrequency energy is a gentle yet effective way to tighten and promote new collagen production, ultimately improving the structural support and integrity of the outer and inner intimate areas. The result is one you can see and feel. Often women remark they did not even know such results were possible, especially without surgery.
How Does It Work?
How It Works
ThermiVa uses radiofrequency technology, which has been around for a long time, previously used for cosmetic purposes on the face and body, to rejuvenate and tighten the skin and underlying tissue. This application of radiofrequency, internally to the vaginal canal, and externally to the vulva, or labia majora, is an application that developed more recently, and thus far has been a very promising one.
ThermiVa radiofrequency treatment can result in changes to collagen:
- Immediate tightening seen due to contracting collagen fibers
- Stimulating fibroblasts to create new collagen
- Remodeling or reorganization of the collagen fibers over time, aka long term tightening
What Can You Expect?
What to Expect
Outer area (vulva, or labia majora) takes about 10-15 minutes, and the vagina (including treatment for urinary leaking or urgency) takes another 10-15 minutes on average. No numbing is required, so the only additional time to factor in is the initial consultation.
