Treatment Overview

ThermiVa harnesses radiofrequency energy to stimulate the production of collagen, and improve blood flow to the area. Results include tightening and firming of the vulva (external) and vagina (internal), as well as improved moisture and decreased stress incontinence. Dr. Patel’s patients also describe improvements in arousal and sensation. The internal tightening addresses laxity at both the vaginal opening and throughout its length.

ThermiVa is a treatment that requires no numbing medicine or injections, and simply feels like a warm sensation on the vulva if treating outer labia laxity. If treating the vaginal canal itself, it is even more comfortable. Following treatment there is no downtime, and you can resume your normal activities.

At the end of a single treatment one can notice the results, and 3 treatments are recommended for optimal results, spaced about 4 weeks apart. Full effects will be seen in 3-6 months.

ThermiVa works best when done in the recommended series. As with any treatment, the degree of results will vary based on the number of treatments and individual characteristics of the patient. Some patients simply need more sessions than others for equivalent results, and the treatment may have more limited results in certain groups such as smokers.
