DR. ANITA PATEL IS A FEMALE BOARD-CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON PRACTICING IN THE HEART OF BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA.
Her patients are put at ease by her warm smile, excellent listening skills, and her wealth of knowledge and experience.
Dr. Patel has built her practice on word-of-mouth referrals from happy patients. She feels there is no greater compliment than the trust and confidence her patients bestow when sending friends and family, and aims to exceed their expectations.
Dr. Patel was born and raised in Michigan, and is a mid-westerner at heart. She excelled in academics from an early age and attended the Honors College at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Biology.
She stayed in Ann Arbor to attend the prestigious University of Michigan Medical School, ranked the #6 medical school in the country by the US News & World Report that year.
In 2001, she received her medical doctorate (M.D.) and began her career as a doctor and surgeon. Dr. Patel is also a member of Mensa, a high IQ society whose members have an IQ in the top 2% of the population.
Dr. Patel’s interest in plastic surgery was sparked by her experiences in medical school rotation, which exposed her to the amazing breadth and depth of the specialty.
Dr. Patel has been enthusiastic about plastic surgery ever since. She is excited to be part of a specialty that can not only transform physical form and function, but can also transform lives.
She is thankful and honored to have such a fulfilling role and career.

TRAINING & EXPERTISE
The training included a heavy Trauma Surgery experience at Charity Hospital, providing Dr. Patel an opportunity to strengthen her skills while gaining experience managing acute trauma situations.
These facets of general surgery training were valuable in providing a wide variety and high number of clinical and surgical experiences, allowing Dr. Patel to builda strong foundation for a successful career in surgery.
Just prior to Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Dr. Patel was accepted into one of four highly coveted positions at the Plastic Surgery Program at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
There, she trained with some of the best plastic surgeons in Los Angeles, including prominent surgeons known and respected around the world. Her experience at USC allowed her to work in numerous hospital and clinic settings around Los Angeles, and gain experience in each of the subspecialties within plastic surgery.
Following her formal plastic surgery training, Dr. Patel spent one year with Dr. Jay Calvert, learning advanced techniques in rhinoplasty and revision nasal surgery, including airway reconstruction with rib cartilage grafts, diced cartilage, and fascia grafts.
Dr. Patel excelled throughout her education and training, and successfully passed the rigorous process of Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, scoring 97th percentile on the Oral Board Examination.
She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, as well as a Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgery, and the California Society of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Patel has presented her clinical research and activity at numerous regional, national, and international meetings, including the American College of Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Multi-Disciplinary Vegas Cosmetic Meeting, International Master Course on Aging Skin, and other meetings.
She has presented at conferences abroad in Italy, Germany, and India. She has also given presentations at local hospitals such as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital.

CHARITABLE GIVING
DR. PATEL IS GRATEFUL FOR HER CURRENT PRACTICE AND FEELS COMPELLED TO GIVE BACK.
In 2007, she traveled to Thailand as a Regan Fellow with Operation Smile, a volunteer organization performing cleft lip and palate surgery on children.
More recently, she has participated in fundraising events for locally based charities that provide reconstructive plastic surgery services for patients from around the world.
In 2012, she ran the NYC marathon on behalf of Lend-A-HandIndia and raised money that went towards the charity, despite the race being canceled due to Hurricane Sandy.She then ran the marathon race the following year to follow through on her promise.
In 2016, Dr. Patel went on a medical mission to Haiti with the Children of War Foundation to help both adults and kids.
Dr. Patel is in her 9th year of private practice in Beverly Hills, California. Dr. Patel holds hospital privileges at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, and St. John’s Health Center.
