Dr. Patel was in San Francisco over the weekend to teach a course on rhinoplasty at the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) Meeting, which took place in April.
The title of her course was “Diced Cartilage & Fascia Graft: Technique & Pearls”, and was attended by surgeons from all over the globe, including surgeons from Dubai, Korea, and Peru to name a few. ASAPS is known as “the world’s leading organization devoted entirely to aesthetic plastic surgery and cosmetic medicine of the face and body”.
The international meeting organized by ASAPS is one-of-a-kind, and encourages collaboration and sharing of knowledge, technique, and pearls from the world’s leading surgeons. Dr. Patel has expertise in the area of Diced Cartilage and Fascia grafts from her time spent on advanced rhinoplasty techniques with Dr. Jay Calvert.
She has put this expertise to use in many complex rhinoplasty cases with great success, and has built a steady primary rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty practice. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and Dr. Patel likes to tailor each rhinoplasty shape and size and proportion to the individual’s face. Dr. Patel feels each nose is different, and should be treated as special, with a focus on making it “the best nose it never was”.
