Nonsurgical rejuvenation with dermal fillers and injections offer beautiful, natural-looking results without the downtime of surgical procedures. When it comes to facial fillers and injections, the first step is finding a surgeon whose artistry you trust, because you are paying for their expert analysis, judgement, and skill, not just the products or syringes. The fillers are simply tools, and how they are used is what determines your results.
Prior to the treatment, you will fill out consent forms and have topical numbing cream applied to the treatment areas. Laughing gas may also be offered. The skin will be cleansed, cooled with gel ice packs, and prepped for injection.
Dr. Anita will then use a series of injections in precise amounts and targeted locations, specific to your anatomy, to achieve treatment goals. Pre- and post- treatment photos are taken to highlight results.
Please Note: These are general estimates that may or may not apply to you individually.

During your consultation, Dr. Anita will take time to learn about your concerns and aesthetic goals, create a custom treatment plan, and discuss the treatment in detail. She will go through your medical history and make sure you are a good candidate for treatment.
Topical numbing cream is applied. After allowing time for it to take effect, the treatment area is cleansed, iced, and prepped for injection. The injections then begin, and progress from area to area, until completed. If laughing gas is desired, this is taken just before injections begin, and as needed during treatment. Pre- and post- treatment photos are taken. Your comfort, safety, and results are our priority, so if at any time you would like to pause, or see the results, please inform us.
Post-injection instructions and precautions are provided, and a 2-week followup visit is scheduled for overall assessment and touch-up if advised.
Dermal fillers are available in a wide variety, and refer to a gel-like substance that is injected into or under the skin at varying depths, to accomplish specific goals from adding volume and definition, to smoothing out wrinkles.
Facial fillers are dermal fillers that are injected into the face, at varying locations and depths depending on the product used and aesthetic goals. Facial fillers and dermal fillers are two terms used interchangeably.
The most commonly used dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occuring substance in our tissues. Thus the product itself is safe and well tolerated. The main risks are related to the injection itself, rather than the filler product.
The duration of cosmetic fillers is both product dependent, and patient dependent. Depending on which product is chosen, the typical duration is anywhere from 6 months – 2 years. Some patients metabolize the products faster than others, and the location of placement will also influence longevity.
Fillers can help smooth out wrinkles by filling them in or adding support to the area (not to be confused with Botox or other toxins, which inhibit muscle contraction that causes wrinkles)
Hyaluronic acid based fillers are generally regarded as the best overall type of facial filler. However, there is not a single product specifically that can be called the best facial filler, because each product has unique properties that make it best suited for certain parts of the face and for certain indications. For instance, the best filler to augment the chin would not be the best filler to smooth out tear troughs.
Of the temporary fillers, Restylane Lyft and Voluma typically last the longest, with results lasting up to 2 years.
The total cost depends on which product and which areas are treated. The cost of fillers starts at $550 and up.
